Biographical Information

Born in Texarkana,Texas, raised in the Houston area. Richard graduated from The University of Texas at Austin, with a BFA in Studio Art 1974. Attended University of Oklahoma, obtained a Master of Fine Arts, 1978. The following decade he worked out of his NYC studio & showed with major galleries in NYC. Richard is in major collections throughout the United States. He is represented by Joseph Gierek Fine Art in Tulsa, Oklahoma, by JDW Designs & RichardWood.name, on line. He returned to NYC November of 2004 with a one man show called, "Urban Still Life" .

Currently Richard lives and works in Seabrook TX. He is pleased to announce that he will be showing with Rudolf Projects/Artscan in December 2006, opening November 30th, 2006.
