Biographical Information
Nov. 4 1952 - July 27th 2009

Born in Texarkana,Texas, raised in the Houston area. Richard graduated from The University of Texas at Austin, with a BFA in Studio Art 1974. Attended University of Oklahoma, obtained a Master of Fine Arts, 1978. The following decade he worked out of his NYC studio & showed with major galleries in NYC. Richard is in major collections throughout the United States. He returned to NYC November of 2004 with a one man show called, "Urban Still Life" . See: http://www.RichardWood.name

Richard lived and worked in Seabrook TX. Due to a serious illness he did not paint within the last six months of his life.
